About Friends With Purpose
What We Do
We provide medical care and community development in underserved international communities where it is needed most. We started with one surgical mission in Guatemala, and are growing to work with likeminded groups worldwide.
Our History
The first trip we have undertaken as Friends With Purpose was in May 2017 to Patzun, Guatemala. We are a group of dedicated and accomplished medical professionals and other volunteers who take short missions to underserved communities to provide surgeries, other medical care, and community development projects to those in need. Our all-volunteer members have a breadth of experience from numerous other medical missions prior to joining Friends With Purpose.
Sponsor a Surgery!
On our Next Mission
$250 will pay for the direct costs of surgery for 1 patient. This includes the equipment, supplies and medicines needed for the surgery, pre-op, and post operative care. However, any amount is welcome and appreciated!
100% of all general donations to Friends with Purpose are used for expenses directly related to providing the surgeries, more specifically medical supplies, equipment, and facilities fees. All other expenses, including travel, team mementos, fundraising, administration, etc. are covered by team members and separate purpose-specific donations.
